  The Perfect Gift...

James 1:
16Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. 17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

All of us desire for good things. We desire for a good job, a good life partner, a good house and so on. Even unbelievers look for such things. Unlike them we need to be thoroughly convinced that all good things can ONLY come from God.

There are so many billionaires who can’t even sleep. Many of the top icon’s personal lives are a major disaster. People aspire to be like them by just seeing a part of their lives. God’s blessings upon His children are never this way. God blessings are always complete. Either you are blessed or not blessed. There is nothing like partially blessed. So God blesses us in all aspects. This is part of “True Life” that God provides His children.

That’s why Proverbs 10:22 says:
The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.

You will find this concept reiterated all through the scriptures. It’s only the blessings of the Lord that makes a person truly rich. This understanding will release us from various heart aches we are going through.

Galatians 3:14 says:
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

It is God’s plan and purpose to bless us. In fact He has already blessed us. All these blessings come through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ paid a very high price to bless us. He redeemed us all by His own blood so that we may have His own life.

Psalm 23:1 says:
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. (NLT)

One of the name of God is “Jehovah Rohi” (meaning “The Lord our Shepherd”). The name of God is at stake if we do not have all we need. So the truth is “whatever point of our lives we always have everything we need”. Anything else is a lie from the evil one.

We are people who are truly privileged to be blessed by the creator of Heavens and the earth. May we always know that it is not our human efforts that will bless us. Let’s never get side tracked - deceived.
