  Working with all our Heart

Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men

Whatever we do includes all the activities we do apart from the time we are sleeping.
These include the way we treat our family members; the way we do our professional jobs; the way we interact with others and so on.

How many things in our life do we do it with all our heart? Why has it been difficult for us to work with all our heart?

Before we can work with all our heart we should be thoroughly convinced as to whether the work we are to do is in God’s will. It is devil’s intention we go on a “Deception Spree” without clearly knowing whether it is God’s will. The longer we are on this “Deception Spree” the longer we work partial hearted. This will result in partial results. Partial results always bring stress/pressure on us.

Ephesians 5:
15Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.

So in all aspects of our life, we need to get ourselves very convinced on what God’s will is. If it is not God’s will don’t do it. Steps of flesh will always cost us. But even after we are convinced on God’s will, still it may not be possible for us to immediately do it with all our heart. The reason to this is invariably related to “Pride”.

Proverbs 16:18 says
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Who wants to get destroyed? So we need to get past our pride and get willing in areas God wills and receive God’s grace that will enable us to do all things.

2 Corinthians 9:8 says:
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

But before God is able to make all grace abound on us, we should be in line to His will. How can God enable us to do something which is apart from His will? Even years of fasting will never get us any where.

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Satan plans always take us further and further from God’s plan and purpose over our lives. The further we go away from God’s will, the more we loose our joy and peace. Good news is that we have been given complete authority over satan’s deceiving schemes. Unless we give satan control, he absolutely has no power/control over us. When God wills to perform something can anyone stop Him? Wisest thing to do is to align our will (plan/desires) to His will. That way we are always unstoppable!!! Let us get hold of life what Jesus has freely given to us. A life in all it’s fullness. A complete life where there is no lack in any of the areas.
